Divine Mother Sree Tara Devi was born on 20 July 1930 in Mangalore, in the same family as Her Guru. Her spiritual greatness revealed itself from childhood. At the age of thirteen, by a mere touch of Sree Rama Devi, She passed through successive states of Samadhi, beheld visions of the divine realms and of Lord Sree Krishna, and ultimately attained Nirvikalpa Samadhi — the summit of spiritual absorption.
Transformation
From humble discipleship She rose to venerable Guruhood, embodying both spiritual power and motherly love. Those who watched describe something extraordinary: Her voice, Her bearing, even Her features transformed into the very likeness of Her Guru.
In the Mission's own words — Tara Devi disappeared in Rama Devi, and Rama Devi reappeared in Tara Devi. The divine ministry of the Mother continued with unabated vigour.
1978 — 1981
On 16 June 1979, Her divinity as Devi Chandika was publicly pronounced — proclaimed, the Mission records, in the Bhava of Sree Rama Devi Herself. She then visited every mandir of Sree Rama Devi across the country, wiping tears and giving succour to thousands wherever She went.
Her ministry lasted only two and a half years, yet devotees say She compressed into it the events and achievements of a century. Countless souls were drawn to Her; the young were especially inspired. Mission activities flourished in Shaktinagar and in centres beyond — the Satyadevata shrine and the Sree Maha Ganapathy mandir were both consecrated in Her presence in 1981.
Her bhajans and discourses were often punctuated by Samadhis and divine ecstasies. Devotees experienced Her as an avalanche of divine force, fitting the aspect of Devi Sree Chandika.

After firmly establishing Shaktinagar and the Mission, Sree Tara Devi entered Mahasamadhi on 4 September 1981.
Though both Mothers have withdrawn into formless Immensity, devotees affirm that their presence is still palpably felt — guiding the Mission, and everyone who seeks them.
